Home Business That Suits Your Lifestyle

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

We are all businessmen/businesswomen from the moment we take our first step into a shop. You do a business deal to buy some milk; you strike another business deal with your employer to pay you x amount of dollars per hour. These steps will help you to choose what business you really want to be in.

Write down what you want to do in your life, including goals, places, and people to see. Write down at least ten topics that interest you ( golf, swimming, teaching, tax, NASA, or flying). For each of these ten interests, write down three ways to make money pursuing these interests. If your interest is golf, you could sell golf gear. If you have a passion for swimming, you could become a swimming coach. If you are passionate about teaching, you could become a teacher in whatever field interests you. If you are interested in tax, you could start a small online business in helping people with tax. If you wrote down "NASA," you could find out what NASA needs and sell it to them whether that be your skills, services, products, et cetera.

Speak to people who are already doing some of these businesses. Speak to them by ringing them up and asking for an interview. Everyone likes to be interviewed, and they will be more than happy to talk to you and show you how they make money. Choose the business that is holding your interest the most. Write a business plan and discuss it with your business mentor (if you do not have a business mentor, you can always contact one through online blogs). A good one is listed in the "Sources and Citations" section; just blog a question, and you can be advised on your plan whether privately or publicly. Raise the capital. Write out a daily action plan. Take massive action.

Try to always refer to a business mentor. The mentor will guide you, and you can learn things from each other. Be sure to keep up-to-date with all the currents in the industry. The best way to do this is through blogs. Blogs are updated regularly, and the community will help you if you run into problems and post a question up there. Always make sure that you start off with three times your calculated capital...just in case there are any downturns when you are starting out. In this way, you will not be held back by lack of money. Visit Online business and read on How to advertise in Newspaper and magazine.

Welcome Fall Season

The weather is changing real fast. From summer to fall, soon winter is here. We enjoyed wearing those tank top, spaghetti strap top and short, skirt many other summer clothing. Now it is time to put summer clothes away and it is time to dig into those fall clothes that you put away last year.

It's been so cold and I must admit, I'd forgotten how cold chilli fall is since we have a real great warm weather during summer. I admire fall, it is because I love watching tree leave changing to different kind of color, then leaves end up falling down the ground, fells like you want to roll over on them like a kid.

Get Quality Backlinks

Interested in promoting your web site to search engines? To do this will require many links around the Internet pointing to (voting for) your site. There are many online to drop links, some are appropriate some are not. The purpose of this article is to explain what a quality link is and how to go about getting one.

All links are not created equally. And there are 3 things we need to focus on when evaluating links, PR, Page Content & Anchor Text. The best links come from a combination of the 3.

Find a worthy web directory, or SEO friendly web directory .Navigate to the most appropriate category of the web or article directory or area of the forum. If this is a web directory, write an original title and description for each directory (see tips below). If it is an article directory submit an informational article such as "How to Lose 10Lbs in a Week" and include your link in the signature bio. If a forum, just talk about your subject, not your site. Publicizing your site should happen naturally on forums, if not it is looked at as spamming. Rinse and Repeat, but don't do too many in sitting. Link building should happen naturally.

if you are looking for marketing resources, then look for those website directories with marketing links, like DMOZ and business.com.

How to Get Rid of a Manipulative Boyfriend

Sick of your boyfriend taking advantage of you? It's time to get rid of him...here's how.

1. Get support from a close friend or family member.
2. Make a solid plan for how you will separate, what you will do after that if he tries to "get you to take him back" and makes you think it will all be better.
3. Be absolutely solid in what you want for yourself.
4. Make little reminders for yourself that you will see daily, throughout the day, that will strengthen you. (Things like a phrase or thought that when you read it will make you strong--or will remind you of why you need to do this, such as a specific time you were manipulated and didn't like it).
5. Add one or two new things into your life that you are scheduled to do. Like sign up for a yoga class (this helps you to focus your mind and body on your own relaxation and strength as well as gives your body good exercise). Take a free class at a local library or museum, join a amateur sports club, or take music lessons. If you cannot afford to do something that costs money, then go to the library and find out about someone that teaches or knows something you'd like to know more about, and offer to trade services with that person so you can have a scheduled class.
6. Remain strong knowing that you're doing what you want and need instead of wondering what you're going to do.
7. Find out if there are assertiveness training classes from your local police department or women's center. These are often free and will give you good tips that help you to be strong and assertive.

Be strong and stay on your goals. Get some distance, allow yourself some space. Time helps heal. Do not, under any circumstances, communicate with your ex. If he sends you a friendly text-message just to say hey and ask how you are doing, do not text him back! If he calls you, do not return his calls. If you are truly trying to get a guy out of your life, you need to be as firm as possible. If you break up with him and yet are still talking to him on a regular basis, he will be getting mixed signals and might try to squeeze his way back into your life. Just don't do it. Call your phone carrier and ask for a new number. Most allow one free change, and charge a small fee for changes after that. Change your email address too. Giving up your number and email address are a small price to pay to cut off two means of communication that he has with you. Lots of women have had manipulative partners (some that have turned violent) and were able to get out and get help. Seek out these people for good advice and support. Look online for forums to talk.

If he's manipulative, he will probably try to get you to change your mind--if for nothing else, because he cannot stand to be rejected. This would be a good time to have that training from the women's center. He'll probably try to convince you that you're making a big mistake and he's all you have. He'll try to make it seem like you're worthless. Don't listen to him. He's just trying to make himself seem like the best thing that ever happened to you, when really the opposite is true. He will try to get in touch with you first with promises, second with anger and threats, and eventually with guilt. Don't take calls, emails, or texts. Delete them and remember that they are just more manipulation.

2. Know who has this illness and what precautions they are taking to not spread it.
3. Get the vaccines for the illness. Many times, clinics will give out free shots to the public to help protect people from the epidemic.
4. Take proper precautions and listen to the news for info on the spread of the disease. Keeping informed may pay off in the long run.

Wash your hands often to prevent the spread of germs.
One city in China had to wear surgical masks by law if they didn't have the dangerous flu virus that was going around.

Know Which Fish to Put Together in a Tank

Thursday, September 24, 2009

It can be confusing when you can't figure out which fish will be compatible with that fish. Here's how to pair up freshwater fish. Most freshwater "community" fish can be together such as tetras, danios, guppies, mollies, platies, rasboras, corys, swordtails, along with angel fish, and Dwarf cichlids (not African cichlids). Fortunately, they all eat the same food; any tropical flakes or pellets. Frozen bloodworms and mini shrimp are good as well. Don't put female and male livebearers together as they will breed, unless you want fry (baby fish).

Tiger Barbs are aggressive, so they might beat others up that are in the tank. This can be avoided by keeping a school of 6 or more. NOTE: although Tiger barbs can be aggressive, most other barbs like Cherry Barbs are peaceful animals. Schooling fish should be kept in schools (6 or more) of each species. They will be much happier this way. It doesn't matter what age or size community fish are; they will flow nicely together, as long as you control quantity. There is a whole other group of freshwater fish, called aggressive. Fish in this group are: Tiger barbs, many cichlids, some gouramis, sharks, and eels. These fish shouldn't really ever be put in with community fis without attention, caution and care on your part.. Particularly the slow moving ones with long tails. They will nip their tails and fins off, and often times kill them easily. Bettas can never be placed in a community tank. The schooling fish will soon start to nip their fins, and the Bettas may become aggressive with other fish.

If you don't know if you can put a fish in with another, it's best to do some research.Rule of thumb, if a fish fits into another fish's mouth they are not suitable tank mates.

Never put small fish with big fish.If you mix small fry(baby fish) with lurking predators like bettas, You'll wind up with plump predators.Remember that MANY fish are predators. ALWAYS research fish species before you buy them - the store owners often give out false information.

Lake Union Boats Afloats Show

Friday, September 18, 2009

Wednesday, my day was not that hectic. Boats show is going on at Lake Union, since my husband loves yacht we decided to go there check 'em out. It was not that crowded because the show was just started, but I bet today and for the rest of the weekend will be crowded down there. We looked at 4 yacht. I was liking the yacht name "Devotion" it was 3 story, there were five privates bedroom aside from the captain quarter and staff quarters. It is pretty big and if you are a boat person like me , you could live in it like a normal house. Actually it's like pent house, if you know what I mean (wink, wink).

Anywho, over all we had fun going through one yacht to another aside from the weather being so humid.

Get the Best Service at Your Pharmacy

Monday, September 14, 2009

While basic rules for getting a good service apply (namely being polite with the salesperson), there some additional ways to ensure you get the best (and safest) of service when at the pharmacy. These instructions apply to both over-the-counter drugs (which anyone can freely buy without consulting a doctor, e.g. Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Coldrex) and prescription medications (which can't be bought without a prescription, e.g. Diazepam and barbiturates). So here's how to help your pharmacist help you.

Before buying the drug, tell the pharmacist about any other drug you may be using, no matter how harmless it may be. This applies to birth control pills as well.
Know what your pharmacist needs to know:Mention any food allergies you might have, especially if you're lactose intolerant, even if the pharmacist doesn't specifically ask. Any liver and renal conditions should also always be brought up. Some mild antibiotics are OTC. When buying any of these, it's very important to inform the pharmacist if you have a history of hypersensitivity or abnormal reactions to any antibiotic.
Inform the pharmacist about the age of anyone else you are buying medication for. Basically, there are 4 age groups: Infant - 0 to 4, Child - 4 to 14, Adult - 14 to 60, and Old (or Geriatric) - 60+. However, always mention the exact age of the person.

Know the so-called "generic name" of the drug with a generic name "acetylsalicylic acid" may be sold under the brands Aspirin, Asperan, Acetisal, or many more. The best way to do this is to write down the generic name on a note card as many medications have very similar names. This will ensure that you do not take the wrong medication. By mentioning the generic name of a drug, you will help the pharmacist suggest a proper substitute. Know the "active ingredient" of your preferred medications. For example, Coldrex (a popular anti-flu preparation in Europe) consists of paracetamol (acetaminophen in the U.S.), caffeine, ascorbic acid (that's the chemical term for vitamin C), and other ingredients. Here the active ingredient is the paracetamol, and the others are mixed with it to improve its absorption by the system, or to alleviate the symptoms while the paracetamol works on the cause. If the pharmacist offers a specific medication for your condition, ask for alternatives with the same active ingredient. Often there are cheaper substitutes for expensive drugs, their only downside being their less famous manufacturer. If your local pharmacy has run out of a drug you use, you might be able to get by with the active ingredient alone. This is only advisable with OTC medications, however. In any multi-ingredient preparation, the proportion of the ingredients and the overall quantity of the mixture are carefully calculated and measured to assure they supplement each other's effects. For OTC preparations (like the Coldrex example above) you may settle for the major active ingredient alone. For any prescription medication, DO NOT take any of the active ingredients alone no matter the dose.

Verify the dosage. When buying prescription drugs, ask the pharmacist to write the appropriate dosage for each of them on the package. This way the pharmacist will be able to correct any possible mistake made by your doctor when filling in the prescription. This will also keep you from overdosing on a potentially lethal drug you may have mistaken for harmless. Each drug has a maximum daily allowance dose, indicated in the patient leaflet. To calculate your daily dosage, multiply the indicated active ingredient for a single tablet (e.g. 500 mg of paracetamol) by the number of prescribed administrations (e.g. 3). This gives you a daily dose 1.5 gr. (1500 mg). Consult your pharmacist and/or your doctor if the calculated prescribed daily dose exceeds the dose indicated in the leaflet. Though sometimes a doctor would intentionally prescribe an exceeding dose, it's most often a mistake in the prescription that can cost you dear! Never change (increase or decrease) the dose prescribed by your doctor or your pharmacist.

Make a quick calculation of how long the pack you just bought will last, and ask your local pharmacist to order a supply of the drug three days earlier. This will save a lot of frustration, because some prescription medications are not in a great demand, and your local pharmacy might not keep it in large stocks. Ask the pharmacist to double-count your medications, particularly if the medications were packed by another company or by a filling facility. Shortages are quite common. Before purchasing a new drug, or a substitute you haven't used before, make sure to read the patient leaflet enclosed for you. Check for possible contraindications, and make sure the indications match your symptoms or condition. Give your pharmacist feedback on any new drug you have been taking. It will help them in their job.

Never give or recommend the medications prescribed to you to anyone else, even if their symptoms are exactly like yours. Never give medications intended for adult use to kids. Though it's relatively easy to recalculate the single and daily doses of an adult version to match what is prescribed to your kid, DO NOT do it, unless you have no other option. A 30 minute drive to the next pharmacy that possibly has the children's form of the drug is always far less expensive than the health and - possibly - life of your child! Ask your doctor or pharmacist before stopping any medication to which you have adverse reactions.

Forget Your Troubles

Sunday, September 13, 2009

Got so many troubles they're weighing you down? Time to pick up your droopy face and turn sorrow into joy by forgetting those troubles that are a-weighing you down.

Think about how good things are for you. If you are troubled, examine others in worse situations and consider how lucky you are. Don't, however, let this make you feel guilty for being unhappy. Other people might be in worse circumstances but it doesn't mean your troubles aren't valid.Visit a good friend's or relatives house. This will usually make you feel appreciated and happy, helping you forget your troubles temporarily.Ask for help sorting out your troubles and look at the simpler things in life such as talking and sitting admiring views. A friend, a parent, a partner, a mentor - all these people make great listening pals.
Don't feel sorry for yourself and turn to alcohol or drugs because it will only cause more trouble (such as money) and people will think the worst of you.
Go on a vacation, maybe all you need is a break.Meditate. Meditation helps you focus on only one thing. It's a great temporary fix.

Don't feel sorry for yourself, look on the bright side.If you have money troubles, don't go on a long vacation, go somewhere local or to a cheap resort for a week. Don't overspend. If you have girl/boyfriend troubles just communicate with her/him or forget about him/her.Seek professional help if you feel that you can't cope.
Drugs and alcohol do not help. Their effect is only temporary and you will feel worse afterward.

6. Focus carefully on your natural breathing. Concentrate on each inhale and each exhale.
7. Take several long, deep breaths intermittently.
8. Think about a long winding river to achieve greater stillness.
9. Let your body and mind relax. Leave the rest of the world behind.

Caffeine: How much is too much?

If you rely on caffeine to wake you up and keep you going, you aren't alone. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, alleviating fatigue and increasing wakefulness.
When to consider cutting back

For most people, moderate doses of caffeine — 200 to 300 milligrams (mg), or about two to four cups of brewed coffee a day — aren't harmful. But some circumstances may warrant limiting or even ending your caffeine routine. Read on to see if any of these apply to you.
'Grande' is your middle name

Though moderate caffeine intake isn't likely to cause harm, too much can noticeably affect your health. Heavy daily caffeine use — more than 500 to 600 mg a day, or about four to seven cups of coffee — can cause:

Nausea or other gastrointestinal problems
Fast or irregular heartbeat
Muscle tremors

Even a little makes you jittery

Some people are more sensitive to caffeine than are others. If you're susceptible to the effects of caffeine, just small amounts — even one cup of coffee or tea — may prompt unwanted effects, such as anxiety, restlessness, irritability and sleep problems. How you react to caffeine may be determined in part by how much caffeine you're used to drinking. So, people who don't regularly consume caffeine tend to be more sensitive to its negative effects. Other factors may include body mass, age, smoking habits, drug or hormone use, stress and health conditions such as anxiety disorders. Sex may even play a role: Research suggests that men are more susceptible to caffeine than are women.
