If you have an old, useless towel, what can you do with it? Don't just throw it in the trash can -- there are still some ways to use it.
Make it into a rug.How about a rug?How about a rug?
Fold it twice and put it on the floor or cut it into strips and crochet or braid a rug.
Cut it up and use it as absorbent padding in reusable sanitary pads.
Make it into a small pillow. Add some cotton for the filling and then sew it up.
Take it to your local veterinarian or animal shelter - they always need towels, sheets & blankets.
Old bath towels make great curtains in a bathroom. The best thing about them is that this use doesn't require any sewing. Use a tension-type curtain rod and just fold the bath towel(s) over the curtain rod.
Cut it into small strips and use it as bedding for hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, etc.
When you are folding the towel, try to grab the both sides and make it bilateral.
Before donating old towels, wash them with perfume-free detergent and fabric softener, or use white vinegar or baking soda instead of softener.
Be careful when you are using the needle to sew.
