Do you want to follow fashion, but retain your dignity? Do you feel as if dressing classically will make you look old fashioned? Some of today's trends can be a little obscure, especially when hot off the catwalk. This guide tells you how to sort out your wardrobe so you can dress fashionably, without losing your class and style.
1 Send old clothing items to the charity shop, recycle them, or just throw them out! They have no class and will do you no favors. Some things to consider throwing out would be:
* Skirts more than five inches above your knee.
* Heels more than three inches high.
* Boots higher than two inches above your knee.
* Things in fluorescent colors.
* Things with clashing prints e.g. lime green and orange is an extreme example.
* Crop tops and boob tubes, and tops with very low cut chests.
* Fishnet tights with large holes.
* Anything stained or ripped.
* Anything you haven't worn in two years. (You might as well spring clean the wardrobe, while you're clearing it out!)
Now that you have done a major clean out, it's time to go shopping! Make sure you have these key pieces in your wardrobe:
* Black/blue/brown/white trousers (all of them) to go with any top.
* Three or more skirts, different colors.
* Three or more jackets, different colors.
* Many flat shoes, and two pairs with low heels.
* One pair of shoes with a higher heel.
Having these quintessential items helps you stay on track whilst dressing in a classy way. Here's the fun part: You can buy whatever fashion clothes you want, from whatever store! As long as they aren't any of the things in the first list, anyways!
Know that classy dressers have presentable legs. You can wear short skirts, but make sure your legs are fit to be seen if you aren't going to wear tights. That means hairless and with as few bruises as possible. It may be you don't want to shave your legs - if that's the case then don't have bare legs, as other people will see you as unseemly. Skirts with tights are fine.
Don't show too much skin. Bare skin is not classy, no matter how fashionable it may be. This is why you must not wear crop tops, mini shorts or miniskirts. It is not trashy to wear shorts with tights, as long as the colors don't clash and the shorts aren't too short. It is always trashy to wear crop tops. Classy people are far more reserved than that.
Understand that prints are very fashionable, but it's easy to go wrong. Try not to mix prints. Floral skirts should always be worn with plain tops. Printed tops should always be worn with plain trousers or skirts. And the colors have to complement each other - no pink flowery skirts with brown jackets!
Wear what suits you. It's useless trying to follow fashions for the sake of it. To redeem your classic, basic style, know your body shape and what colours suit your eye and hair colors. It's easy to throw together an outfit that looks great on the mannequin - but think. Is a denim waist cost really going to flatter you? Does it really go with that black flowery blouse? It may be sometimes that the overall effect of an outfit in a picture is nice, but alone the clothes don't appeal to you very much. So don't buy them!
Think of the classiest person you know. Let's say Audrey Hepburn. If she were around today, would she wear the outfit you're thinking of wearing? If not it's a good idea to think why, then modify your outfit to make it up to standard.
Being healthy and clean will help your classy appearance. Make sure you have great skin by drinking lots and using cleansing products;, use deodorants and shower or bathe daily! Body odor is not classy!
The basic rule you need to follow is this: Look smart, but not formal. Look intelligent, but not snobby. Look attractive, but not slutty. This is the secret of a classy outfit.
Don't be too reserved or you'll end up looking like your mother or grandmother. Classical doesn't mean old fashioned, it just means stylish and appropriate clothing.
Similarly, don't follow fashions simply because they're 'in'. Think about how you look. If you look trashy, don't buy it. If you can imagine yourself bumping into, say, the Queen, or your favorite celebrity - would you feel embarrassed? If so, you aren't classy enough!
Don't go round telling people they look trashy. Classy people don't just dress well, they are nice and sophisticated too. Be conservative about your attitude as well as your clothes, or people will think you're a snob.

Appreciate a Loved One
Monday, September 8, 2008
Sometimes the ones you care most for are the ones you neglect the most. It's easy to forget about the feelings and aspirations of those closest to you as you move around them daily and sometimes take them for granted. Appreciation of their presence in your life is always something worth stopping for, to take the time to reflect over and will rejuvenate the strength of your relationships.
Ask yourself a key question: "What did I learn about this person today?" If you have a hard time answering that, then it's time for step two.
Ask questions. It's easy to fall prey to complacency. Remember that this person is just as complicated as you are. Find out more about your loved one. You may be surprised at all the things you still have to learn 5, 10, 15, 30 years into knowing this person.
Listen. Really listen. Then ask more questions. Become interested in what that person has to say. Don't just listen to what they say and then turn it around to be about you.
Do something different. Familiarity breeds contempt, they say. Get out of the house once in a while. Go somewhere, do something you have never done with that person.
Open up your heart. Telling someone an inner wish or dream creates new bonds and strengthens old ones.
Realize that a hug never hurts. Be free with the hugs and they will come back to you tenfold.
Do something nice for them whenever you can. Stop off at the store and buy them their favorite ice cream. Send them a letter or a postcard. Call them up just to wish them well. These things do not go unnoticed.
Clean up after yourself. Leaving a mess for your loved one to take care of is not only rude and insensitive, but it's just bad manners. They will appreciate you more if you appreciate them.
Tell them what you think about them. Most of us respect our loved ones and what they are doing with their lives. But how often do we tell them? It's not so hard to say, "I really think what you are doing is remarkable." Or, "You have incredible courage to do what you are doing." It feels good to be open with those you love.
Though it's wonderful to be honest with a loved one, it is possible to be too honest. Know the boundaries. Do not criticize someone maliciously ever.
Don't convince yourself that this exercise isn't worthwhile. It is - you'll be doing yourself and your loved ones a disservice by not believing.

Communicate to Save Your Marriage
If you are looking to save your marriage then here are some tips to help you communicate with your partner. Arm yourself with four “tools”: time, an understanding attitude, patience, and empathy.
Schedule some time to be spent only with your partner everyday to maintain a strong bond.
Give complete attention to your partner, whether chatting or resolving an issue.
Listen to your partner without any interruptions. Maintain eye contact and keep an open mind. Grasp the expressed feelings along with the words. Facial expressions, tone of voice, body language, and words – all of these matter.
Make a careful choice of words while communicating to avoid any misunderstandings.
Don’t get carried away with emotions while communicating.
Instead of blowing your lid off in front of your partner, vent your anger on a piece of paper. Sometimes, we do regret later what we had said in a fit of anger.
7. Keep the positive aspects in the spot light rather than the negative ones.
You don’t like a particular habit of your partner, for example, throwing a wet towel on the bed. Don’t start with “I hate it when you…” instead, say, “I really like it when I see you hanging your towel on towel-stand!”
If you don’t like a particular dress on your partner, instead of saying, “you look fat/bad in this dress”, say, “why don’t you wear the ‘so and so’ dress? It looks sexier on you than this one!”
It is said – the best way to win an argument is to avoid it. How true! When you feel the discussion is getting heated up, withdraw.
Shouting, screaming, crying are the worst ways of communicating your feelings. They only leave your partner feeling hurt, confused, or even a failure.
Never dig out past conflicts, no matter how tempted you are.
Don’t hesitate in saying “I am sorry.” These are the wonder words that make your partner lose all anger. In fact, it leaves no room for further debate.
Stop blaming each other. If you think, “I can save my marriage by putting all the blame on my partner”, you are harboring an absurd idea in your mind.
Taunting, scorning, commenting, and teasing are not the right ways to save a marriage. There are many people who hurl verbal abuses at their partner and when their partner retaliates with a divorce paper in hand, they cry, “save my marriage!” First learn to respect your partner and treat him/her as you would want to be treated yourself.

How to Manage Pimples and Still Be Beautiful
Saturday, September 6, 2008
Discover how you can still be beautiful with pimples by emphasizing your best features while taking steps to bring those annoying breakouts under control!
Think of some qualities yourself that you feel good about and put some energy towards them for a change!Make a list in your head or write them down.
Show off the good stuff! If you have big, beautiful eyes, show them off! What is your best feature? Eyes? Lips? Nails? Hair? If you have healthy nails, manicure them!If you have voluminous, silky hair, add hair gems to emphasize it!
Keep your skin clean and apply any treatments properly. Make sure to take extra care to wash off any make-up entirely.
Make an appointment to see a dermatologist for help in establishing a personalized treatment plan if you truly feel overwhelmed.
Remember that almost everyone has had break-outs. You are not alone!
Sweating opens your pores; after you work out be sure to cleanse and wash your face. After you are done washing your face either apply cold water to your face with a washcloth, or apply vitamin E oil, and then apply a cold washcloth.
If you start to feel really unhappy try using plain refrigerated yogurt as you would soap once every night. If used properly it will clear most acne cases up in a few days. Put some on a wash cloth and gently scrub, if you scrub to vigourusly you will scrape the tops off your pimples and make the problem even worse.
If a breakout starts to make you feel a bit insecure, remember to not put your focus on your flaws (using too much cover-up) so that they do not become the focus of others! Be sure to bring out your beauty, instead.
Try to keep your hands away from problem areas, touching the area can cause dirt to get "ground in" making the break-out worse.
Make sure and keep anything that touches your face clean. For example, if you wear glasses make sure that your frames and lens are cleaned regularly.
But remember- the easiest way to get rid of pimples is: cleanse your face in the morning when you wake up and at night when you go to bed! (Even if it appears clean!)
Pin back or grow out your bangs. The oil from your hair and the constant rubbing aggravates the problem more than it disguises it.
Stop consuming high-caffeine foods and beverages. These make you sweat more often, and more profusely.
High levels of stress often can cause breakouts. Stay relaxed and calm.
Eat yogurt, it has bacteria that help your digestive tract to function, which, in turn, allow your body to disperse nutrients more effectively. This improves both your overall health, and your acne.
Use gentle cleansers, products like Clearasil can be very harsh on sensitive skin.
How you feel about your outward appearance can wreak havoc on how you feel about yourself inside and vice versa. Start practicing putting your best self forward so you can feel good about yourself on the inside and out!
Don't pick at the spots it can cause them to get infected and they will take longer to heal.
If you have a spot that you absolutely must open (to relieve the pressure)only pop it using the ends of your fingers, using nails and needles will lead to even worse scarring!
Do not use peppermint (or mint in general) based cleansers, mint irritates skin and can make things worse!
Exfoilaite more then 3 times a week can be very hurtful to your skin and can ruin your skins natural barrier to bacteria!

Heal Acne Fast and Naturally
You see the movie stars and singer. Their skin is acne free. Even your friends have clear skin! Do you suffer from acne, and wish you didn't have any, but don't want to waste money on expensive products that don't even work? Here's how to destroy acne within a few weeks, and do it naturally, with things around your house.
Get the things you need. You will need a face cloth, a hand towel, soap (bar or liquid), and working water (hot and cold).
Wet down your face cloth with hot water. The water has to be so hot, the face cloth steams. Be careful not to burn your hands, though! When the face cloth is steaming, wring out the water, and place it on your face. This will open your pores. Repeat this process twice. Make sure your eyes are closed, unless you enjoy pain.
After opening your pores, quickly wash down your cloth again with hot water and put soap on it. Then scrub your entire face, but concentrate on the infected areas. Let the lather rest for about 40 seconds. While waiting, wash your cloth down again with hot water thoroughly.
Wipe the lather from your face thoroughly. Make sure none is left over.
Rinse the cloth with cold water. Make sure the cloth is VERY cold. Then place it on your face. This will close your pores. Dry your face with the towel, but don't rub, just dab the water off.
Now you're done! DO this process 3 times a day. Once in the morning, then in the middle of the day, and before bed. Your face will get noticeably clearer quickly!
Avoid touching your face.
Avoid eating greasy foods and chocolates.
Drink lots of water! It flushes toxins from your body and helps clear your skin.
OPTIONAL : Exercise a bit more. It can really help releive stress and acne.
Rub your face with baby powder before bed and in the mornings. This dries up blemishes and help prevent face invaders.
If your skin doesn't clear up in a day, don't worry! It doesn't mean the method isn't working. Skin doesn't clear automatically just because you've washed your face once.
