A Sun Smart Checklist
Thursday, August 14, 2008
We need the sun to live, but we also know of the grave danger of over exposure.
Follow this steps to protect your self.
Wear protecting clothing , including a wide-brimmed hat, a long sleeved shirt and long pants, during prolonged period of sun exposure.
When possible, avoid direct sunlight between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m
Wear sunglasses with UV protective lenses outdoor and while driving to protect your eyes. If you wear prescription glasses, these can be fitted with UV protective lenses as well.
Avoid years of aging sun damages on your hands by wearing driving gloves in the car everyday or using hand cream with UV protection.
Use sunscreen with sun protection factor of 15 or higher once a day or more on all exposed skin. If you have short hair, don't forget the top of your ears and the back of your neck.
Make sure your sunscreen offers true board-spectrum UVA and UVB protection . Apply enough and reapply often.
If your skin is sensitive, use a sunblock containing titanium dioxide or zinc oxide with a minimum of SPF of 30.
Apply a lip balm with an SPF of 15 and higher and reapply frequently.
Be sure to apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes before exposure or going outside.
Keep sun protection product close at hand- in the glove compartment of the car, in your bag,in your desk at work- everywhere your likely to be able and not just in the bathroom.
Cosmetic and skin care product with SPF rating won't provide all of the sun protection you need. For maximum protection, use both layering one over the other.
Visit your dermatologist yearly for a full body skin examination, particularly if you got bad sunburns as a child or teem or have had close relatives with skin cancer

Anyway I came across on one of the spark called Loosing Weight-What works for YOU? . Its about health ,fitness and loosing weight. I think is free post is very interesting. In today world, we mostly need to watch the way we eat or else we gain weight easily.
I am maintaining my weight by watching what I eat. I had tried herbal life before but I didn't have the patient mixing those mix drink, specially my schedule was so hectic .Beside you have to stay on it to continue loosing weight or get into weight you wanted. Right now ,my weigh is staying on 115 lbs. I am not taking any diet pills or in any weight loss program. I just small portion and giving my self sometimes to work out everyday. I think Exercising is a good way to loss weight and it's good for the heart.

Beautify Your Bath on a Budget
Friday, August 8, 2008
Bathrooms in todays homes has moved beyond a utilitarian water closet to large and luxurious space evoking a spa experience. If your bathroom doesn't measure up , you might want to look at several low cost improvement that can quickly transform the space.
Color. If you stuck with ceramic tile thats scream 1950, try camouflaging it with a new towels, bath rug, shower curtain and other accessories that will make the room feel more contemporary. For example, try deep brown with pink tile, or bright blue with light green tile. Because most bathrooms are small, painting the walls bold color can breathe new life into the space. For a more restful feel, stay with muted pastels. A slight darker color on the ceiling will help overcome the towering feeling in a small bathroom.
Fixtures. Switch the shiny chrome to pewter or brush stainless stell fixture for the tub, shower sinks. It's an update look and easier to clean, because it odesn't show water marks.
Lighting. Look at lighting not just for illumination but for creating ambience. Sconces on either side of the mirror are much more pleasing than overhead lights.
Mirrors. A new mirror can also add a decorative element. Consider a collection of mirror to visually expand the space.
Furniture. If you have room , consider etagere. The open shelves will provide room for extra storage or accessories the perfect place for extra towels, a stack of magazine, an MP3 player or plants.
Accessories. Get creative with decorative items: tissue boxes, soap dishes scented candles. Don't limit yourself to bathroom items- a lovely serving bowl could hold potpourri, a clear vase can display a bath salt or cotton balls, basket could hold a rolled-up towels.
Once you've completed your bathroom make over, keep it fresh by changing the look from season to season with new towels, bath rugs and other accssesories.
