Feel Happy when Christmas Is Over
Monday, December 28, 2009
The Christmas tree is due to be taken down, the presents have been opened and the awful month of January is looming. Fear not!
Spend some time appreciating what you have been given for Christmas, if you have been given books, read them; DVDs, watch them etc. Enjoy yourself and relax. Participate in a favorite sport or exercise program. A good walk will clear the brain while burning off some of those holiday calories. Touch football with friends might be another option.Plan something a festive activity to celebrate the New Year. If you enjoy a night out, make reservations to celebrate the New Year with good friends, if you prefer the comforts of home, plan an evening of good food and television. Or plan a festive home party. Be sure to offer non-alcoholic drinks and make arrangements for a designated driver.
Take some time to reflect on the past year, if it was a good year, make a memorable scrapbook of what you enjoyed about it. If not, forget it, make a list of (realistic) resolutions and look to the future. If you are a child/teenager, you probably will have been given some money for Christmas. Take yourself out to the shops and indulge in some new clothes or CDs for the new year. Try to make it positive music. When the decorations have gone, don't leave the house bare. Buy some pretty winter flowers or a wall hanging in warm, comforting colours. Look into a new hobby to occupy your time. Think outside the box, you could try cooking, gardening, journal-keeping or painting. If you're not the creative type, perhaps a sport is more your thing. Keep happy by maintaining a positive attitude.
Invest in things which make you feel comfortable and happy, your favorite flowers, music or films. Make a special effort with your appearance. Exercise or participate in sporting activities. See a therapist, if needed, to battle the winter blahs.Keep in mind that this is not the last Christmas there will ever be. Keep looking forward to the next year if this helps. You can also remember the other upcoming holidays, such as New Year's Day.

Look High Fashion
Tired of that grungy, plain T-Shirt and jeans look? Jealous of all your friends that always look like they've just walked off a magazine? Want to be the fashion idol of all your friends and family? Good news -- it's not too hard. You don't even have to break the bank to get that high-fashion look. All you need is some determination...
Take care of your body. Although we don't love to admit it, having a decent figure makes high fashion clothing look extremely sexy. Eat right(fruits and vegetables) and drink 8 glasses of water a day. Water clears out your complexion and balances your body. If you are bigger, a fashionable wardrobe can still look stunning. Just make sure that you buy flattering clothes in cuts that emphasize your beauty, not your weight.Wear good, quality make-up. With makeup, it is all about quality, not quantity. The key to looking high fashion is not only having nice clothes, but a great face! Wear a subtle bronzer in the summer, and a moisturizer that will make your skin glow in the winter. Find out what colors go with your skin tone and eye color. Remember: try to empasize one feature at a time. If you are wearing a bold lip color, try to keep the rest of your makeup modest, and if you have bold eye shadow or liner, keep the rest modest too.
Add jewelery if you are looking to plain. The difference between a T-Shirt and jeans without and with a necklace is huge! Depending on the trend this rule will vary but for the most consistent "High-Fashion" go with more classic stlyes (pearls, gold, silver) and avoid too many plastic, enamel, or wooden accesories.Pick your trends wisely. No matter what the new fashion is you should be very selective on what trends to follow. No true Style Maven attacks every trend that trapes down the runway. You should own quality (which does not always mean designer) Jeans, and cotton shirts. Because we tend to buy accesories less often than clothing this may be where you should invest in your "statement" or designer peices.Heels should be reserved for outings and gatherings. One who wears heels to the grocer, dry cleaner, or other similar environments will be deemed as "trashy" or from a lower socio-econimic status. Shy away from running sneakers (although you should own a decent pair)for a more casual shoe consider a flat, loafer, or slide, and for summer a stylish espadrill leather sandal or flat. Be confident. No matter what label your clothing is, exude the confidence that you deserve. Wear the garment, don't let the garment wear you!
I encourage shopping at any store that fancies you. For more high end pieces consider consignment or authorized discount vendors. When Shopping High Fashion, Keep It Clean. Things such as fluro and plaid, which are in style at the moment, should not be the first thing you reach for. Go to the more sleek items. Stay away from prints, as prints will go out of fashion quickly

Friday, December 25, 2009
Making the decision to go into business for yourself is a complex decision that most likely took a lot of thought and consideration. Now the only decision left to make is which business franchise is the right opportunity for you. Maybe the choice seems obvious, or maybe you think it won’t matter what kind of business you run as long as you get to be the boss. A business like Colorado Springs chiropractor can be a tricky thing, and which small business opportunity you choose may end up being the deciding factor in whether your career as a small business owner is a success or a failure.
Some business need to be run by people who like and appreciate the service being provided and must continually hold the interest and passion of those people who are operating them. Your employees, customers, clients and business contacts must be able to see and feel your passion for the business that you own. To that end, the selection of a business opportunity becomes as important as the initial decision to purchase to start your own .
Don’t be overwhelmed, starting a business is a great option for an excited and motivated businessman or woman who is looking to expand their experiences and increase their profitability.
