Want to get involved with community outreach by connecting with non-profit organizations? Donating previously owned clothes, toys, furniture, appliances, even cars can be a big commitment of time and effort. The following steps will help you to understand and work with successful systems of donation and distribution of needed articles. These steps are for those who want to start their own donation and distribution organization and work with other organizations as well.
Find donation organizations such as "Helping Needy Families." These may be found online, through churches, community centers, etc. Many of them will have a welcome or information letter available.
Make sure they give a contact name. For example: "Hello, My name is Tami." Having an actual contact name is important for specific and consistent contact.
Find out if they are willing to help other groups like themselves, (be an affiliate).
Research the needs, both of their group and yours. For example: A mission called "Heavens Manna for the needy" is a used clothing, toys, furniture, appliances, food, etc., donation and distribution center.
Look for ways to help get involved with them. How can you receive free donations from companies in order to get started?
Get the details. Once a relationship is established, get all the relevant details: Website address, contact name, phone, physical address, purpose, supporting information, etc.
Verify the information given. Because of security concerns and possible fake organizations, be sure to validate the information for your own safety.
Enjoy working with the authentic and like-minded organization to help those in the community who are in need!
There may be an organization already in existence in your area. Makes sure to research and find anyone you can work with. They may have done some of the hard work already.
There are people and organizations that take advantage of non-profit and community outreach groups. Be sure to watch for information that does seem authentic when establishing a relationship.
Patience and persistence. There may be obstacles to be overcome.
A website for your new organization is very helpful for connecting to others.
Compassion for those who will ultimately benefit from your actions.

How to Find Your Dream Career
When you were little, people probably asked, "What do you want to do when you grow up?" Maybe you said a firefighter, or an astronaut. Maybe you said an actor, or a lawyer, or a doctor. With starry eyes, you dreamed of the day you would live in a rich mansion, with maids and butlers. Then, a career seemed like something that would happen a lifetime away. But now that the time has come to choose, your interests have probably changed. Finding the right career for you can be difficult, but not impossible.
Know who you are, and not just your name. What are your interests? What skills do you possess? Are you cheerful, bubbly, and a people-person? Maybe becoming a teacher is for you. Do you love to get out a saw and wood and create projects? Maybe an architect is the job you want. Spend an hour in a private place, or get together with a friend. Talk about the things you love. Write them down, and analyze them when you're done. See if you can put together an idea.
If you have an idea of what you want to do, read up on it! Head for the library, or surf the web. Read as much as you can about your career choice. If you decide you chose wrong, analyze your skills again. Talk with a parent, friend, or professor about what they think.
Utilize several different job search techniques and do each of them well. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
Keep in touch with people who can positively influence your job search and career. In your future career pursuit, simple reference letter can be of crucial importance.
Try to learn about why you don't get every job you apply for. Learn from your mistakes.
Before you start applying for jobs ensure you know what you're looking for. A good job search is a focused job search. Make sure to tailor you Resume or CV according to job position that you are applying for.
Don't apply for job you aren't qualified for. One of the worst things is lying on your Resume. You might ruin your chances with a company for a job you are qualified for in the future.
Manage your references. Don't assume there isn't such a thing as a bad reference. There is. And it can cost you jobs.
Plan your career with a long term focus. Short term gain can cause long term pain.
Take command of your career. Don't rely on other people to get the job for you. Nobody knows you better than your self, just do it.
Treat your resume like it has value. While you want to send your resume to people who can positively influence your job search, you don't want to plaster it on every job board and give people the impression you can't get hired.

Cope With Unemployment
Unemployment is a situation the vast majority of people dread. Having to tell people such as relatives, friends and aquaintances about your jobless status can be shameful and embarrassing. Here are some ways to eliminate the stigma.
Start looking for a job on the Internet. Do this as soon as you are fired, laid off or you just plain quit your job for some reason. Nowadays, it is best looking for a job on the Net obviously for convenience. There are many job hunting websites on offer such as Monster (www.monster.com), Seek (www.seek.com.au)[If you live in Australia] and so on. Most websites give you the option to create an online resume. Do this if you don't already have one.
Register your details with a temp recruitment agency. There are many to choose from, such as Adecco, Manpower, Julia Ross etc. Usually you will have to have your resume handy and turn up to their offices to fill in the paperwork. Oftentimes these temp agencies post jobs that lead to permanency; as well as part-time, contract and casual roles.
Maintain discipline in relation to your job hunting. This requires having a daily routine very similar to when you were working. For those that have never worked before, this means to wake up early in the morning (5:30am - 7:30am) and taking a a quick shower and breakfast at scheduled times. Not having to get up and go to work in the morning at a set time is one of the advantages of unemployment, but if you are not organised, you will become discouraged and sloppy in your job-seeking.
Apply for welfare relief as soon as possible. Do this if you have little or no money left in your bank account/s. However, you should be aware that this may not be available in many countries, especially developing ones. But for those that do, receiving welfare payments (not that big anyway) will greatly help you in regards to everyday expenses such as food, utilities and rent as well as travel expenses such as if you have to go to a job interview.
Be very thrifty with your money. Do NOT spend money on unnecessary purchases such as computer games, DVD's, expensive food, alcohol or anything else that will ultimately turn you in to a lazy bum. Basically you should remove non-essential shopping from your budget until you find a steady job.
Find entertainment once in a while or else complete boredom will set in. When at home, watch TV or play video games once you have completed your set routine of job-seeking. Outside of home, be aware of the free/cheap options available to you. These would include going to the cinemas, walking around a park and walking the dog (if you have one).
Do some physical exercise. Sit-ups, push-ups, barbell curls, stretches, and running/jogging will make you more motivated as well as keeping you in good shape.
Maintain contacts with friends and family members. They may help you look for a job and give you guidance. Most of all, communicating with people you know once in a while will help you keep your sanity.
Don't feel sorry for yourself. This will make the people you know perceive you as insecure and having low self-esteem.
Be yourself and hold your head high. Besides, there are many out there who are unemployed and have a similar situation as you.
Do not drink alcohol. Do so only at friend's parties and social occasions on the weekend.
Don't sleep too late
