Cope With a Lonely Valentine's Day

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Nobody likes to be alone, but especially on Valentine's Day. Here are some things to distract you, if only for a day. Watch a violent or action/adventure movie, for example: Scarface, The Godfather, The Devils Rejects, etc. It will distract you from the fact that you are alone. Go shopping with a friend or family member. If you go to the mall, then you'll be busy for hours. You might want to save up money beforehand so you'll have some spending money so you won't have to go home as early.

Play video games that you've never played before. This will distract you for hours.
Run or play a sport. There are many clubs out there that offer lessons, so you may want to go there.

Do your homework. Valentine's Day is somewhat in the middle of the normal American school year, so you could always study for the midterms.Bake cookies. You can always give them to your friends, family, and co-workers, so you can bake lots of them. This will take up a lot of time.Clean your room. You could take out everything and then vacuum the floor. When's the last time you did that?Read a book or go to the library. There shouldn't be anything to remind you of Valentine's Day there.

There is someone out there for you. Never stop looking!
