Take Care of Yourself

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Taking care of yourself may seem like a full-time job, but with some daily cleansing, it can be made easy.
Keep yourself clean. Wash yourself with a great smelling soap in your favorite scent like strawberry or cookies and cream (Yes, they really have these as scents). Wash your hair with a great smelling shampoo / conditioner for your hair-type (Sunsilk has wide selections). Clean out your ears. Trim and polish. Comb your hair, brush your teeth, trim your nails, and paint your toes if you want. Wash your face and put on less make-up than you usually would.
Lotion. Keep your body moisturized. Moisturize your legs, feet, arms, and hands the most. Mainly all your limbs. And your face if you need to. Dress. Clothe yourself in the shirts and pants that make you feel your best. Pick out at least 14 outfits that make you feel good. Go to seven if your closet is not that big. Have a good attitude. Taking care of yourself means on the inside too. Be nice to other people. Be nice to others who are different than you, you might make connections and good networks with people. Stand up for yourself but be tactful, and not aggressive. Being a diplomatic person is always good. Even if people are mean to you or want you to go away, always be nice to them no matter what. You will also make friends this way too. Eat healthy stuff like fruit and drink lots of water. This will keep you healthy too. Get enough sleep. Sleep must be stressed. Nobody wants bags under their eyes!

Put lip balm on your lips to keep them moisturized. Never use lip gloss when on a date. It isn't kiss friendly. Choose a hobby and do this once a week or whenever you can, it will keep your mind healthy. Pick a time frame daily to do something physically healthy, such as cardio (walking, kickboxing) or yoga, and even picking up weights will keep your muscles healthy and strong.(Aim to do this daily, if this is not possible, then at least a few times a week! Be dedicated to your physical health!) KEEP ORGANIZED! This means cleaning out your closet regularly (lets say monthly), organizing your desk, and keeping things in their place. Something as small as fixing your bed every morning will make a big difference in making it look clean. Make time to do this every morning, it does not take long! Keep a kit of all kind of things that you will need in your backpack. Prepare things the day before for the next day (such as picking out your clothes for the next day the night before, or making and packing your lunch for the next day the night before!). Always do your homework, it's the most important thing you can do in your whole day. If your grades are up, you are likely to be happier, and have less anxiety. You will always be prepared for the teacher's lesson - that's what homework is for! Be more conscious of yourself and your surroundings, take care of yourself, and enjoy life!Stay away from drugs. That is so not taking care of yourself if you use them.
